Alinah is turning one and I'm thrilled to be a part of this event and the planning of her upcoming celebration.
Alinah will be baptized and celebrate her 1st birthday on the same day, so the trick was to figure out how we wanted to set up her invitations so that everyone knew the significance of this special day. Mommy wanted her color scheme to be pinks and golds with a princess theme. So after a lot of starts and stops, these are the invitations that won the day.
The invitation is 4 layers. Gold glitter cardstock is layered on the bright pink background and we printed a photo of the cute little Alinah on photo paper and layered it over the glitter cardstock. We then printed the invitation on vellum paper and foil stamped her name and the words Baptism and 1st Birthday. This way, the guests can keep the photo of the little princess, and she is adorable.
Then it was time to work on the baptism favors. We ordered bookmark crosses that are simply beautiful, but they came in the most awful packaging. So I tossed out the packaging they came in and created cute little pink boxes for them instead.
Once the box was created, I went to work on the outside, we had to tie the colors together, so I had to include the bright pink, and glitter cardstock. So I first die cut a cute little frame in the glitter cardstock and layered it with a name tag and a pink cross in a coordinating design. Then I added paper flowers in bright pinks and shades whites.
So this was the finished product. Everything worked so well together, and most importantly mommy was super happy with the outcome.
Now it's time to work on the birthday favors and party decorations.
